Richard T. North of Plantation, Florida, formerly of Attica, age 56, died Sunday morning, January 4, in Bennett Community Hospital at Plantation. He was born at Lafayette, March 26, 1924, the son of Lowell Dean and Nellie May Taylor North. November 20, 1949, he married Beverly Anne Mickle, who survives.
A retired farmer, he resided on RR 1, Attica, for 55 years before moving to Florida last year. He was a graduate of Attica High School and attended Duquesne University at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A pilot during World War II, he was a member of Attica First United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge, Indianapolis Scottish Rite and Shrine and Gotham Club of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Also surviving are his mother of rural Attica; two daughters, Mrs. Peggy N. Futerbaugh of rural Attica and Mrs. Patricia N. Martin of Attica; a brother, Russell D. of rural Attica; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Marvin Jones officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. – thanks to S
